McCaffery Interests, in partnership with The Village of Lake
Zurich, is redeveloping the village’s downtown core. The
centerpiece of the approximately $200,000,000 million
redevelopment will be The Grandview, a 5 story mixed-use building
with dramatic lake views. The Grandview will contain ground floor
restaurants featuring large patios and gardens and four stories of
condominium residences. Situated across from the public lakefront
promenade, it will provide all residences a beautiful new place to
gather and enjoy the natural beauty of Lake Zurich.
This much anticipated downtown revitalization plan calls for a
mix of retail, office, restaurants, residences and parking over a
six block area. Conceived as a pedestrian-friendly project with an
emphasis on urban living, a wide range of residential types and
price points will be offered, including several different styles
of townhomes, condominium units and residential lofts above
retail. The Master Plan includes charming boutiques along Main
Street surrounded by residential units that blend with the
existing community. Beautiful new open spaces will be created
within the center of the townhome communities to harmonize with
the natural lakefront setting. Streets and sidewalks will be
landscaped and scaled to appeal to pedestrians while providing
ample on-street parking for drivers.
Lake Zurich is a quaint collar community located 30 miles
northwest of Chicago on a picturesque natural lake. The village
features above average wealth and has quadrupled in size since the
1960’s. The Downtown Lake Zurich redevelopment will help continue
the economic and demographic growth and ensure the community’s
future prosperity.
The first phase, The Somerset townhomes, commenced construction
Summer 2006.
