Friendship Centre

McCaffery Interests purchased this vacant parcel on Wisconsin Avenue in 1996 and filled in the missing retail, each having its own expression.

Catering to the residents of Friendship Heights, Chevy Chase and Montgomery County, Friendship Centre has four separate and distinct storefronts. Borders Books & Music, Eddie Bauer, Linens’ n Things, and Maggiano’s/Corner Bakery joined a strong retail neighborhood including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Pottery Barn, Talbots, Tiffany & Co., Cheesecake Factory, and Gap/Gap Kids.

Twenty-eight single-family townhomes developed by Eakin Youngentob along 43rd Street serve as a buffer between Friendship Centre’s retailers and the adjoining upscale neighborhood.
