The Southside Community Optimal Redevelopment Enterprise (SCORE), controlled by McCaffery Interests, provided $11 million in federal and Illinois New Market Tax Credit (NMTC) allocations towards the build-out of a much-needed grocery store within a disadvantaged community on Chicago’s Avondale neighborhood.

The former Children's Memorial Hospital in Lincoln Park will be demolished within the next six weeks, according to developers McCaffery Interests and Hines, which say they have closed on the purchase of the vacant site.
